went through the Prior approval if denied then you follow w/ the 2nd step where you ask for an exception. The Dr. Actually does these steps. Did your ins. approve it? What I am trying to figure out is if the ins. is dropping the med 100%, or is it worth the effort to go through these steps. Which is what I had to do before I could start any PAH specialty meds. because they are not on any drug formulary for any ins. co.

Insurance companies sometimes drop medications from their formularies, but it may still be possible to get coverage through prior authorization or an exception process. According to my knowledge base, some individuals with PAH have successfully appealed denials. For example, one member shared that their insurance initially denied ambrisentan and tadalafil but approved them after an appeal. It’s worth trying, as your doctor can advocate for you.
