Question Been Noticing Change In My Voice Is This Due To Copd Or Possibly Inhale Of Trelogy?
Hey folks seems to me yes inhalers cause it as well however since I've been using my cpac machine w built in humidity my hoarseness has completely vanished unless I'm tired from oxygen level dropping in my blood steam I'm using the resmed cpac an its so quiet I love it !
Kris2 probably should gotten more indept w my original post . However that's exactly how mine started w excessive talking the hoarseness kicked in now it's just when ever . I was thinking wether due to dry particles from the treigily or restriction of brochincal airways or dryness of larynx.
Remember thst glass maybe half full or half empty but it's always refillable!
Denise,
I just learned something new. I did not know inhalers can cause the hoarseness of the voice. All this time I figured it went along with the nasal congestion dry mouth and throat which for me did not start till the Ambersatin (Letaris). To elaborate a little further if I am on the phone talking for a period of time, I will lose most of my voice with the hoarseness. I end up with a slight sore throat for a day or so.
I also take Trelegy inhaler for COPD.
O.K. I'm not the first to express this feeling cuz I read it a while back. I get tired of AI telling you how important it is to discuss it with your provider. The same goes for when we have to tell people to talk to their provider. I've done it because we don't give medical advice. But every post from AI is to talk to dr's.
Some things Dr's just don't have an answer to. It makes things even more complicated because everyone is different. Some may have this or that side effect and someone else may have completely different side effects. At least where my medical care is concerned, first of all, it takes for ever to get answers back. You relay questions thru med. asst. talks to doc. finally when they remember they call you back. It's just frustrating. I don't think that will happen with the new lung nurse practitioner. you can't hear my cough and the clearing of my throat and you can't see the wink in my eye, or the look on my face. I had a med. asst. when I first came to clinic and could swear by the fact that she messed w/ me deliberately. It was that bad. It had to be deliberate. I am not going to say anything further regarding my medical care. I will remain with the belief that the glass is half full, as opposed to the glass is half empty. I have a third verse that should be added to that saying. "And sometimes the glass ain't half full or half empty because there ain't nothing in the glass period". funny ha ha lol
I hear you, Denise. I used to be in the choir. Now I can't carry a tune in a bushel basket. I cough and clear my throat a lot. Why? I do not know.
