Kelly, excess fluid is from venous backup as the heart isn't able to pump to the lungs normally. Fluid backs up to several abdominal veins, especially the liver.

If I remember correctly you also have left heart symptoms. Have you had a left heart cath? Symptoms go in both directions. Try and be patient even though it's so frustrating. Some of the PH specialty meds won't be prescribed without certain number outcomes.

Can you get an appointment with an actual PH Specialist? Part of what they do is rule out and rule in. Even try just calling one cold and explaining...crying if you have to.

Some stating this that it was higher in past. I’m just saying, if I feel close to death now and they don’t bother to do the test till say, next year. And I am diagnosed then, did I just lose 3 years from me having to wait a year? The way I read it, and I read for hours. I also try to sift out the bull sites and weigh what I read against each other. Something must have changed for them to say “the new” numbers are…. One was dated May or June this year.
