I have 2 walkers: a 10 pound 3 wheeled walker (no seat) that I keep in my car, and an 18 pound 4 wheeled walker with a seat that I use if walking in my neighborhood or somewhere that I think will require rest stops.

Exercise would be different for each person. Having just finished rehab, my permanent home assignment is daily 5 sets of 3 minute walks separated by 2 minute rests. I got a basic, foldable treadmill so I can do this indoors since it gets so hot here. Then I have a few other low impact exercises to do in my home.

By the way, some insurance plans will provide you with a walker. Medicare entirely covered my heavier 4 wheeled walker with the seat and it was delivered right to my door. My care team arranged it for me.

Ditto! I just had one delivered on Saturday. Waiting for someone to put it together. I want to walk but it's so difficult because I'm also in pain in my back so the walker will really help. I'm always exhausted, it makes me so angry. Along with PH I have Afib in which after several hospital treatments which failed, I'm now on several costly meds. Thankfully I have found some help with those. If I did not have faith in God I know I would have given up. But I believe and now I have found all of you. πŸ€— Thank you for being here.

You might benefit from a 4 wheeled walker with a seat. Exercise tolerance is different for everyone. When I was still working as a nurse, I advised patients to pace themselves and walk only half the distance they think they can tolerate. After all, you still need to have enough endurance to make it back home. Shorter distances multiple times a day can be as beneficial as one long trek a day. Functional exercise such as doing laundry, making a bed, or doing dishes shouldn't be discounted either. Movement is movement. You might consider checking out YouTube too. Search for chair exercises, chair yoga, and chair aerobics. There are quite a few videos geared towards those with limitations.

My tremors now affect my whole body, down to my feet. Makes for shaky gait pattern... Have been using a cane which has helped for awhile. For any distance I use a mobility scooter... I then can keep up on outings with the family. Meanwhile, My walker with elbow support and a seat increases my daily short walks.
