I drive two hours each way for my specialist. When I was diagnosed I was near death.... then I got referred to a PH clinic. Three year later, I'm doing good! It can be difficult at times to find the energy to travel, but totally worth the outcome!
I also have to travel 3 hours to see my Dr at Emory in Atlanta, but it is such a blessing to have a specialist that answers my questions. After hearing others talk about their issues with Drs who aren't specialists--I feel lucky that I got to the right Dr that diagnosed my condition and also treats it.
Hello Sherry, I have to travel 250 miles to go to the nearest PH clinic. But it is worth the drive. To have a team of wonderful Drs that know how to treat PAH. God bless.
Thank you
