Next Week I Have Appointments With A Hematologist And A Pulmonologist. Which Doctor Will Take The Lead In My Treatment?
It makes sense to me that your pulmonologist would be in charge.
Should be your pulmonologist. Is there a problem with your blood that you are going to a hematologist? Good luck with those appointments. π₯°π
Thomas8:
Considering that Pulmonary Hypertension is a lung/heart disease I would suggest that your pulmonologist would likely be taking the lead. But that is just my opinion. Many of us see more than one specialist for various symptoms but PH is primarily treated by Pulmonologists and Cardiologists who are educated/trained in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Pulmonary Hypertension. My primary specialist at my PAH Clinic is a Pulmonologist but I also periodically see the team Cardiologist as well. They are both PAH Specialists.
How Many People Are Seeing A PAH Specialist And Not A Pulmonologist?
So You See A Pulmonologist Or A Cardiac Doctor
My Pulmomologist Said I Have PH And Has Not Given Me Anything To Help With Symptoms.
