Discussing this with your doctor is a reasonable first step. Importantly, do some reading to be informed and have some questions. Don't use pop magazines or other sites of the sort. Use one's with good credentials and oversite. Examples: WEBMD, many teaching (medical) have information available to the public.

Any articles I have read usually recommend that more than one birth control method be used. Barrier methods and perhaps IUD or some birth control pills but not all are suitable. I would suggest a conversation with your gynecologist might be a good idea.

I got the IUD KYLEENA no estrogen that's what my pulmonologist recommended & I have to test monthly before they release my medication. So dramatic but I guess necessary
