No, I don't feel it's to much, it's completely up to you how much you want us to know. I'm happy you shared. Is there a good surgeon in your area? I might try to get an apt with them. Some do amazing wound care. We have a wound center about 10 minutes from us, however, I wouldn't refer anyone to the quack that calls himself a dr that's there. He almost killed my husband with his lack of care before he worked there. We now travel about 1 1/2 hrs to a really good one.

You definitely have to be comfortable with your Dr. I do hope you're able to find a good pcp and someone for woundcare.

Aren't portals awesome. I can take me time to look over each result and look things up and write down questions for my Dr. Have you had an arterial blood draw? That is specific for respiratory. They can tell the amount of O2 in your blood as well as other related items. It can sting when they do it, it's from your inner wrist, but the results are worth it.

I've had several CTs over the years, and I e had a couple VQs as well, they are easy. A right heart cath is as well. I was awake for whole thing, they went in through inner elbow, and I didn't feel a thing. I knew my results before I left the OR.

I wonder if you have problems with wounds around the ankle you fractured and tore the skin off us because you have scar tissue and it won't stretch when you retain fluid so it just tears? It's just my thought.

Take care and please keep us updated.

I have been getting these off and on for quite a while, It is hard to know the cause. Oy seems worse when I am under stress or generally nervous. However my doctor's treatment is doxycycline twice a day as a preventative, which is pretty effective. When I develop active sores then topical application of Mupirocin 2% at first notice (usually the symptom is an itching sensation below the dermal layers of the skin) until it is healed. These products are by a doctor prescription.

Swelling in the ankles due to pulmonary hypertension (PH) or fluid retention can stretch the skin, making it shiny and more prone to issues like ruptures or welts. This can happen if the swelling is severe or prolonged. It's important to report such symptoms to your doctor, as untreated swelling can lead to complications like infections or ulcers. Managing fluid retention through sodium restrictions, diuretics, or elevating your legs may help.

When PH is poorly controlled (or before getting on meds as in your case), the heart isn’t functioning well/struggling to oxygenate all cells in the body. The extremities (being farthest from the heart) can develop conditions such as non diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The nerves, blood vessels and skin suffer. Add excess water pooling in your feet and ankles it can start to ooze out. Skin breaks down, and…

Yes, make sure the specialist sees this tomorrow as you don’t want infection to develop. What time is your appointment, Adina? Mine starts at 8 with the 6 min walk. Hugs

A pulse oximeter can tell your O2 level. Hope you can get the services you need. Those leg wounds are a challenge... 🙏🙏🙏
