I Need To Go To MD From Pgh. I Want To Drive. My Friends And Family Are Almost Demanding That I Fly. Which Would Be Safer For Me?

I am a good driver that's not the problem. They are afraid of me being alone on a 4 hour long distance drive. I'm not afraid but I understand their concerns. Please chime in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

If you have no problem with it, then do it! Altitude is not a good idea for PH victims! Just be vigilant and aware of your surrounds at all times. If family doesn't want you to drive, then tell them to drive you! Most important, pray ask the Lord for his input on your trip, he will guide you and make your decision! Good luck and remember to ask God to be your co-pilot! Let Jesus make all your decisions!

It’s about a 4 1/2 hour drive…… but you can make 1 or 2 short stops if you need to. I live in Md & have traveled to Pittsburgh a few different times. I…..myself would rather drive to Pittsburgh than fly. If you don’t mind driving by yourself…….I would choose to drive the distance rather than fly. I wouldn’t even consider flying……but Michelle…..it is a personal choice……do what is RIGHT for You!!!!!! Also…..the flight may not affect you at all……but I just wouldn’t want to take the chance. If you are affected by air travel……& your alone here in Md till family gets here……that’s no fun. Like I said Michelle…..It is a personal choice……You will make the Right one for you. Either way…….have a safe & confortable trip ❤️

Consult with your doctors first.

A sense of autonomy is also good for mental health. Allowing yourself to take simple trips can be soothing. A traveling companion may also be a good compromise, perhaps an older teen, or young 20~something who is level headed to just share the ride.
