Have you had a sleep study done to rule out sleep apnea? You should have a conversation with your doctor about what you are experiencing. In the meantime, many people find it is much easier to sleep at night with their head in an elevated position. You might benefit from propping yourself up with pillows, a wedge pillow, or even sleeping in a recliner.

I find I have to get out of bed, go on the computer or something, and then go back into the bed. I get so angry and frustrated.

Your situation with insomnia sounds similar to mine Heather.

For me it’s just my insomnia. I’ll fall asleep, wake up 90 minutes later and not be able to go back to sleep for another 2 to 3 hours. I had 2 sleep studies and I do not have sleep apnea but my general pulmonologist is also my sleep doctor.

I have the same problem! I have a bi- pap and I also try to prop up my pillows at night.
