Mammogram and was called back with more films and some unusual findings. My appointment is Monday. I had my left cataract surgery last Friday and will have my right done tomorrow. I have a preview tonight but hate to let my friend down if I don’t go. But have no energy and feel lousy. Any advice would be appreciated.

I totally understand Sandy! I felt the same way. Just know that you have permission to care for yourself, to not over schedule yourself, and not to have to worry everyday about anything! You earned every white hair on your head girlfriend and don't let anyone else tell you what to do, when. Take one day at a time and know that you are loved!!

Hi, it's really awkward when you have to cancel on a friend, we tend to feel we're letting people down and feel guilty.
We're lucky if we have friends who have some idea what we're going through and are kind enough not to count it against us. Hope that applies 🙏

Hi Sandy49, lt seems as though you have had many health issues hitting you all at once. Do you have a good friend who could take over or help you schedule or reschedule some things? You may have been over loaded and the stress of all of your appointments may be your body asking you to "Slow Down ". A healthy 25 year old may be able to keep up, but an overwhelmed senior is just making matters worse by adding more stress. Maybe slow down a bit to one appointment a month or something more reasonable. Stress can mount up and cause more stress. You sound like a balloon ready to pop! Try to slow down and take some "me time". Read a daily devotional to help you ask for help from a spiritual perspective. As a Christian, l depend on my faith alot to get me through the rough patches. Whatever your faith persuasion is, please ask your higher power for help and guidance. Doctors may be going on vacation and the offices may want to schedule you now rather than waiting. Also, if there is a possibility of a cancer
diagnoses, that adds more stress. This is definitely a time when you need your family and friends to help you make those decisions. Please take care of yourself first and do what you need to be do for yourself first. Rest, meditation, sunshine; go to your happy place to rest and reboot yourself so that you can face these challenges head on! You are most important
here. Peace and rest to you!!

Thank you Melanie, yes I feel like things are out of my control. My two very best friends of 50+ years have passed away within in the last year or two. And then was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and fibrosis. Now in progress of weaning prednisone from February to Cellcept and changing Pulmonologist’s in the last two months. Your support is appreciated.
