Is Anyone Else Having Cognitive Issues Related To PAH?
Yeah those vaccinations don’t keep us from getting Covid. They just keep them from being too severe. Shall I say some.
So glad I have you all totalk to and ask questions💜
I have off and on. One medication they had me on made words hard for me. The stress from living with it can make thinking / remembering difficult. And lastly being tired and low on air affects our mental state alot. I try to include meditation to reduce stress which helps, and I outsource my memory to app alarms and reminders.
Yes, I do. I have always had a good memory until lately. For me, it happens when my oxygen is low, or I'm tired, or haven't slept well. I can track my sleep pattern on my cpap. There are nights I wake up multiple times (even on nights, I think I've slept well), either breathing difficulty or chest pain or palpitations. That's got to affect your thinking when you don't sleep well... over doing it on days I feel good causes the same issues. I can't think right.
I've had cognitive issues too, even forgetting things that had only recently happened! It tends to coincide with either a COPD exacerbation or other infection. It was at it's worst when I think I had a mild dose of Covid (I'm triple vaccinated) I was quite alarmed, it felt as though I was developing galloping dementia! It was a bit scary if I'm honest. When the infection passed I recovered more or less completely. I do tend to be a bit scatter brained anyway 🤪
