V/Q Scan Tomorrow, Any Tips Or Advice?
I had a VQ scan recently and it’s simple. No prep, other than blood work if they’re going to use contrast dye. I stood up for the first part then laid on a hard surface for the second part. A “wand” went back and forth over me. Painless and quick.
Just a note..
A VQ scan uses a radioactive isotope, not contrast .
Contrast is used in X-ray imaging such as a CT scan. Yet a different media is used in MRI imaging..
No results yet, I keep checking! 🤪
That's one of the easier tests, so, just take it easy and know you are in good hands :)
