I have never had chest pain. You should report that to your Dr.

Hi @A myPHteam Member yes, I do. However, my diagnosis with PH is uncertain, I had high pulmonary pressure on one echo (41), then still elevated on the next (27), then normal (17) and the last 2 did not indicate the pressure (as they were looking for something else - a shunt, that showed on one and then disappeared). So I am unsure if I have PH. I've been getting chest pain on my left side, sometimes radiating down my left arm since March 2023. I've been told (by cardiologists anything from unstable angina, medical emergency each time, to non-cardiac reflux, muscular, pulmonary or nothing don's worry about it. My current cardiologist view is I'm still alive so probably not unstable angina. It's valid, I am alive, lol. No one knows what it is and my heart has been checked so many times, they did see stuff, but nothing that should cause the chest pain. Calcium channel blocker is helping. I would highly highly recommend you do go to the ER or see your doctor asap about it. Mine was not a medical emergency, BUT medical emergency looks and feels the same, so do not take a chance, def get it checked out asap. I think mine may have been muscle spasms cause the 2nd last time I went to hospital, they gave me IV magnesium (for something else) and it stopped the chest pain. So if all is negative and you do not know what it is, ask your doctor if its ok to magnesium supplements as it will help if its spasms (even if its is cardiac spasms). Or could also be reflux (even in the absence of other reflux symptoms). Hope you get to the bottom of it soon.

Carol, I have been diagnosed with PAH and hf for about a year and a half. I never get chest pain or back pain till recently. I'm going to get checked out because these pains and extra symptoms just started for me. If they are not your normal issues definitely get checked out. 💜
