Does Anyone With PAH Have Scleroderma Also?
Hello Pamela, my name is Cindy I have both PAH and scleroderma. I was diagnosed with scleroderma in 2016 and diagnosed with PAH in November 2022. For scleroderma I take cellcept and hydroxychloroquine.and for PAH I take sildenafil, opsumet and uptravi and furosmie. And meds seem to really be helping with both scleroderma and PAH. I want to welcome you also to the PH community. Wonderful people and wonderful information. ❤️
Yes, many people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) also have scleroderma. In fact, connective tissue diseases like scleroderma are the most common cause of associated PAH. Studies estimate that between 7 percent and 19 percent of people with systemic scleroderma have PAH.

Yes, I have both Limited Systemic Sclerosis (Scleroderma) and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. I was diagnosed with both in 2012, but suspect I had them about 20 years before that, starting with a Raynaud's Phenomenon diagnosis in 1992. I had many issues in that 20 year period that could never be explained. Isolated issues that didn't seem to point to anything until 2012.
