Right Heart Cath & Sick
I suddenly became hoarse & developed a cough. At first I didn't feel bad but a few days later I felt so bad I went to the E.R. negative for covid & pneumonia. No fever (although it feels like I have one). Cough has gotten worse sounds horrible. Headache, weak, hungry but can't eat. I have a right heart cath scheduled in the a.m. will they still perform the procedure with me feeling like this? And my symptoms and how I feel have gotten worse since I left the e.r. yesterday should I go back?
Call your doctor and se what he/she has to say about it. Good luck.
I had the same symptoms a month or so ago. I have PH also but I didn't relate that to my illness. I am just now beginning to feel like I just may live. I've heard that a virus similar to the flu and covid was going around and taking many weeks to get over. I wish you well.
@A myPHteam Member I am sorry that it took that long for you to get better. Ugh, what a time! That has been one of my biggest concerns is what happens when I get sick since I have not been ill in a respiratory system way really since the beginning of the pandemic. I guess it's just another added layer to try to do our best around and then leave the rest up to whatever it is we believe in. I'm glad you're still here and active on this community! Thanks for filling me in.
Yes I got worse & started running a fever & vomiting. I went back & was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. I was sick for almost 2 months. They finally prescribed steroids & I got better. The doctor said my weakened immune system is why it took so long to get better. I never would have dreamed PH could & would cause so many other health issues/problems.
Did you end up going?
