Has anyone else had their family basically not acknowledge that you're sick? That you look, physically, most of the time, as if you're not sick so to them it is as if nothing's wrong with you. I understand people's denial when it comes to someone they care about and they don't want them to be sick but I mean to a different degree. Like they won't even look up what's wrong with you they won't educate themselves. And the depression is already bad enough but when you have no support it's even… read more

I am so sorry Maria that your family has checked out on you when you need the support of your loved ones. Since the only person you can change is yourself, I suggest you look for support somewhere else.......a good friend, a family friend, your pastor or even the members of this site. I wish you well!

While I really admire the perspective you have and am getting better than I've ever been in my life at being mindful about how others make me feel. I am an empath naturally and I take on the energy of the world around me which can be... a lot. I can relate to wanting my loved ones recognition because I would be there for them. OP deserves to have people who make her feel good and sometimes when we start losing people we cared about and thought loved us... it's just another grieving process of sorts. πŸ’«πŸ«πŸ™

Thank you She'll. Your response made me cry.....not in a bad way. Well kind of....I'm sad that we have to go through this physically and emotionally, but it made me cry mostly because we need to remind each other that no matter how badly we feel, WE ARE ALIVE. thank you πŸ€—
