Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a serious condition where the pressure in the pulmonary arteries is elevated. Normal pulmonary artery pressure is between 8 mmHg and 20 mmHg at rest. PAH is diagnosed when the mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP) is 20 mmHg or higher, with a pulmonary artery occlusion pressure (PAOP) of 15 mmHg or less, and a pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) greater than 2 Wood units.

If your PAH pressure level is at 90 mmHg, it is significantly higher than the normal range and indicates severe PAH. It's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for appropriate management and treatment.

For others experiencing PAH, sharing your experiences and pressure levels can be helpful. You can join communities like myPHteam, where members come together to ask questions, give advice, and share their stories with others who understand life with pulmonary hypertension.

@A myPHteam Member when I was diagnosed, my pressure was 36. About a year later I had another RHC. Much to my surprise my pressure dropped to 17, considered high normal. At least for now, I know Tadalafil and Ambrisentan are working for me. Based on these results my doctor and I decided it was best to delay adding Tyvaso.

Wow thanks for sharing, there is definitely hope. I didn't think the pressures in your lungs got better I was under the impression that it stayed the same or got worse. That's really phenomenal.. 💜

Mine at diagnosis was 89. It’s officially 1 year on the medications opsumit, tadaliphil and IV remodulin and I’m much better. I feel much better too.

While it wasn’t an easy road, I plowed on. Now I just hope I can stay better for a long, long time.
