I Have CTEPH And My Echocardiogram Indicates 44 Mm Hg Pressure.
I will have a right heart catheterization on the 30th. I am being treated at National Jewish in Denver. What should I expect for survival? I'm 78 and had a saddle PE last March.
You have come this far in life for a reason do not give up you will survive. I have high hopes and prays for your support and success.
A mean pulmonary artery pressure of 25 mm Hg or more is used to diagnose CTEPH. An echocardiogram uses sound waves to create pictures of the heart, allowing doctors to see the heart pumping and blood flow in real time. If your echocardiogram indicates a pressure of 44 mm Hg, it suggests elevated pressure, which is Show Full Answer
The Echocardiogram estimates pressure. The right heart cath actually measures it. My echo pressure estimate was much higher that what it actually was after measuring it with the right heart cath!
Is that your pulmonary artery pressure?
My echo was was very high. I also had my right heart cath at National Jewish. (good people there) It came in at 23 much lower than the echo estimated. The echo is measuring velocity. The right heart cath is actually measuring pressure.

Should Borderline PH Be Treated If You’re Having Symptoms. And If It’s Not Treated Will It Get Worse. My Right Cath Showed Borderline PH.
In January My Reading From Echo Was 39. Last Week It's 69. Is This Still Moderate Or Base Line High? I'm On Adempas And Uptravi.
