As far as I know, women are supposed to use at least three kinds of birth control to prevent pregnancy while taking PH medication. It causes birth defects. PH puts an extreme burden on your body and with pregnancy, the already compromised body might be too much for a woman.

Not sure if you are asking if pregnancy is okay with PAH, but it is contraindicated. Normally 2 types of birth control are recommended to make sure pregnancy does not occur. It can be risky as pregnancy can put extra strain on an already strained heart. Also, medications may play a role in outcomes as well. It is best, for sure, to ask your PH specialist about pregnancy. I am just sharing with you what I know about PAH and pregnancy after having researched PAH/PH extensively. Hope this helps.

Please don't! It does cause Birth Defects. Your body is going to be stressed quite a bit when you are first diagnosed. Hang in there. It does get better but it will take awhile before you get the hang of planning your day so you want be exhausted. Judy

If you are on PH medication contact the company you are getting the medication from or read the information that comes with the medication very carefully. And contact your PH doctor and discuss your situation with him/her.
